This is the second test...

How was everyone's new year? Hope it went well. I drank most of it away, as the result of my anxiety about those who were involved in the SE Asia Tsunami, coupled with more soul-crushing news.

It's a new year. I worked on another layout before I chose this one. The first was with a brooding Kate and had Keane lyrics from 'Everybody's Changing' (kyaaa! I love Keane!), but it was really dark and quite frankly, depressing. I really wanted to start afresh and be positive. I chose this picture because it never fails to cheer me up. And as I worked, Louis Armstrong's 'A Kiss To Build A Dream On' motivated me with the brightness and happiness of the tune.

Billie Holliday's 'Just The Thought of You' reminds me of one person. Whenever I get so upset I cannot feel, I just think of Colin Farrell and his larger-than-life persona and smile. Who could not smile at the stories he has told in interviews, or that he counts flashing as a favourite pastime Finally, I think of my friends in Diaryland who always lift my spirits up. It truly is just the very thought of you :)
